Working as part-time Freelance Field Service
Engineer Canon Pakistan since 1972 I was declared a top Field Service Engineer
who secured first position in 1976 throughout Middle East, South-East Asia, Far
East Asia and New Zealand. I was the only Field Service Engineer and a newly
married person among all the whole sale dealers of Canon products. My wife was
given a special invitation to reward me in Canon Tokyo Convention 1976. Left
behind our five months old daughter at her grandparents in Rawalpindi we flew
from Islamabad International Airport over Himalayas to Beijing and Tokyo by
Boeing-707 of Pakistan International Airlines.

Various
show offs of Canon products were held officially, specially a demo of first
ever color copier was absolutely fascinating for the visitors.
A great
celebrations of my marriage and award winning ceremony was held in a private
event hall with a gathering of 555 people invited by the then Chairman &
CEO Canon Inc. Japan.
I was
invited on the stage to introduce myself along with a Pakistani song in my
personal voice. A beautiful award for the top Field service Engineer was
presented containing 24 karats gold Japanese green tea mini cups as shown in the
picture:
