After obtaining Associate Engineer Diploma accepted the very first offer of “Charge hand” Pakistan Ordinance Factories Wah Cantt. Joined and attended factory familiarization lecture for one day only and received an offer of “Foreman” Telephone Industries of Pakistan Haripur-Hazara and on training’s 17th. Day received an offer of Mechanic-II PIA Engineering Karachi. Joined PIA Engineering Head Office Karachi on 24th. August 1964 at 0700 hrs.

One year training enabled me to become
Mechanic-I with four special annual increments being a 3 years diploma holder.
To become Senior Technician, Master Technician, Officer Engineering and Crew
Chief it consumed 11 years of my life with proper production work, on job
training and different training courses/exams in Ground Training School
temporarily established in twelve rooms of Midway House Hotel (Now Ramada Hotel
Airport). This training school was then shifted to properly constructed
building just opposite side of airport terminal road and now it is called PIA
Training Centre being last step of my job as I retired Senior Instructor
Management Training Unit.
I was unmarried yet being Crew Chief of
Instrument Overhaul shop while appeared in license exam of Aircraft Engineer in
1975, got married same year but was cleared in 1978 to become the airlines
youngest Aircraft Engineer Registration No.700 at the age of 32 years.
