Travels to
Hamburg-West Germany 1969 and Tokyo-Japan 1973 were neither pleasure trips nor
were at my own, so I planned a first ever pleasure trip as per my will to
United Kingdom. I had just a travel suitcase and some travelers’ cheques from
currency dealer in Karachi while entry visa to any country was not a big deal
those days. I had UK entry visa, a suitcase and some coins of UK currency to
make a phone call from any public booth as mobile phones were not invented yet.

Enjoyed 1.5
hours bus drive from Heathrow to Piccadilly
Circus (Station) and after an hour rest called my cousin to get her
residential address. Took a train from Piccadilly Circus (Station) to
Manchester Piccadilly Station, enjoyed my most favorite site seeing trip of
about 4.40 hours, searched cousin’s residence at my own utilizing public telephone
booth several times and arrived safely over without much trouble. Stayed for about
two weeks till another cousin brother came over to pick me up for his residence
in central London. Enjoyed another company of his friends for a week and flew
back to Karachi to reperform my duties.
